TRAVEL PLAN

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. Drive northwards toward Murchison Falls National Park, enjoying scenic views of Uganda’s countryside and local communities along the way.

After lunch, continue to the Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging into the falls below. Enjoy spectacular views and photography before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari

Wake up early for a morning game drive across the park’s savanna plains. This is one of the best times to spot wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and, with luck, lions and leopards.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat safari along the Victoria Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks while enjoying excellent birdwatching and scenic views.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Ajai Wildlife Reserve – Murchison Falls

After breakfast, depart for Ajai Wildlife Reserve, a lesser-explored conservation area known for its savanna, wetlands, woodland, and riverine habitats.

Spend the day exploring Ajai through a combination of game viewing, nature walks, and birding. Look out for Uganda kob, hartebeest, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, baboons, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. You can also learn about Ajai’s fascinating history as a former White Rhino Sanctuary.

After the activities, begin the journey back to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and your final overnight stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kampala/Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Travel through the scenic countryside, with opportunities to stop for lunch and refreshments along the way.

Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon/evening, marking the end of your memorable Murchison Falls and Ajai Wildlife Reserve safari.
